What is the spider vein treatment?

The spider vein treatment is designed to improve the appearance of unsightly spider or small vascular veins. This procedure is not designed for, and will not treat varicose veins.

How does the spider vein treatment work?

Spider and small vascular veins are effectively treated by utilizing laser and radio frequency energies.

Is the spider vein treatment safe?

The vein treatment is safe although there are some risks for superficial blistering and pigmentary changes in the skin. The hand piece is cooled for your comfort and safety to provide additional protection during the procedure.

Does the treatment hurt?

The treatment is generally handled well by patients. As every patient is different, pain tolerance changes from patient to patient. Cooling the treatment area with an ice pack prior to the treatment as well as applying a topical anesthetic will allow you to be comfortable during the treatment.

Where can you get the spider vein treatment?

Spider veins are predominantly treated on the legs although we do have patients that have small vascular veins on their face.

How many treatments will you need to see results?

Spider veins come in all sizes and so it is difficult to generalize how many treatments will be necessary to see the desired results. Typically spider veins require 3 to 5 treatments in order to dissipate. Tonya will be able to give you a better idea about the number of necessary treatments at your initial consultation.
